One prize to be given away for each of the businesses.
All prizes have been donated by businesses across the district.
Eligibility
The competition is only open to residents in the UK. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter and claim your prize. The Council may ask the winner to provide proof of age.
Terms and conditions
- The competition will close for entry on the date and time stated on the post on Facebook and Instagram. A winner will be picked using a random number generator from entries submitted before the closing date. We will notify the winner within 24 hours of the competition closing.
- The Council will only keep a record of your name and username for the purposes of identifying a winner of the competition, and to contact you if you are the winner.
- Each entry will be marked as a number and the winners will be picked at random selection for each prize using a random generator.
- If you are the winner, the Council will comment on your post to confirm that you are the winner, and update the post with your name as the winner, share your details with the relevant business/organisation to enable the prize to be collected.
- The Council will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.
- The Council’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Competition winners must bring proof of ID when claiming their prize at the relevant location/business. If they do not, their prize may be lost.
- The prize must be accepted as offered. No cash or other alternatives will be offered.
- The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- There is a limit of one prize per person for each business and in the event that the same person is selected twice a further selection will be made using a random generator.
- Insofar as is permitted by law, the Council, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Council, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Data you shared with us on *Facebook / Instagram is stored on that social media site. You are advised to check the privacy notices or terms and conditions of your social media sites for more information.
- This competition is run by Braintree District Council and participants acknowledge that it is in no way sponsored endorsed administered or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
