Halloween is going to be a little different for us all this year, but it doesn't mean we should all miss out on what is normally a fun and exciting time of year.
Have a ghoulishly good family day out at Marks Hall Estate solving creepy clues, or take part in the community Halloween Pumpkin Trail by designing your own pumpkin or Halloween drawing and place it in your window for everyone to see!
You can also print off our very own colouring in sheet below to use, which includes a fun wordsearch!
Take a walk around your local community and see what ones you can spot as part of Active Essex’s Daily Mile initiative which aims improve children’s physical activity in an easy, inclusive and fun way. For every daily mile they complete, you can download a certificate to give to the kids for taking part.
A checklist of places you can visit and see their own Halloween displays to add towards your Daily Mile:
- Braintree Town Hall
- Braintree, Silver End, Library
- Little Me Preschool
- Braintree Swimming & Fitness
- Halstead Leisure Centre
- Busy Beavers

Take a picture of your displays and send it over to us so we can share for everyone in our district to see - and we’ll do a montage of photos on 31st October for our Halloween celebrations. You can send your pictures to us via our event page, Facebook, Instagram or email .
Please remember to stay safe this Halloween and follow all government guidelines.
